CIRCULATION POLICIES

Bloomfield residents over the age of 18 are eligible for a library card if they can present photo ID with official proof of address. Official proof of address includes driver's licenses, lease agreements, utility or tax bills, medical paperwork, or school documents.

Materials owned by the Bloomfield Public Library can be checked out by anyone who has a valid library card from Bloomfield, any BCCLS library, or any ReBL library. Most items can be renewed online, over the phone, or in person, assuming there are no holds on the item.

Please note that certain items, like Summer Reading titles or items from other BCCLS libraries, don't always have the same conditions as we do, so fines and replacement charges might vary.

If you're not sure about the rules for an item, or about anything else on your account, please contact the Circulation Desk at 973-566-6200 ext. 601 to ask. The Head of Circulation is Jessica Czarnogursky, and can be reached at 973-566-6200 ext. 227 or jczarnogursky@bplnj.org.

For Children's items, please contact the Children's Department at 973-566-6200 ext. 603. The Head of Children's Services is Cheryl Pavliv, and can be reached at 973-566-6200 ext. 218 or cpavliv@bplnj.org/
